Standard Sizes

Noticeboard measurements are given in each item’s description and in their 'Product Details' tab. All measurements given are for the finished, full size of the notice boards from the outer edges of the frame (and not just the notice board area).

Please remember that each notice board is individually handmade to order. As a result, final measurements can vary slightly from those on the listings – if you need the size of your board to be very precise then please let me know.

Custom Sizes

If you would like a custom sized notice board I am happy to help. My maximum board size remains 130cm x 97cm for cork pin boards and non-magnetic blackboards, and 117cm x 79cm for magnetic whiteboards and magnetic blackboards, but anything up to this is possible. Just get in touch and I can create a listing through which you will be able to purchase your custom order whenever you are ready.

Weights

My cork pinboards - even the largest - are designed to be as lightweight as possible, so that even the Super Size pinboards weigh about 2kg each.

My blackboards and whiteboards - with their metal sheet - are much heavier and the largest sizes will need a couple of people to unpack and hang without risk of damage (to board or humans!).

Hanging Your Noticeboard

I don't include screws, nails or hooks with my notice boards, as you need to choose the correct fittings for the wall you will be using. Unless you have requested brass plates, your noticeboard will come with brass sawtooth fittings attached on the back, which can sit over the head of a screw or nail, or slot onto a picture hook.

There is a nifty method that I use for marking out the position of the wall fixtures. I lightly stick a piece of masking tape on the back edge the frame, below the hanging fittings. On this tape I use a pen or pencil to mark where the fittings are. I then take the tape off the board and lightly press it onto the wall at the height that I want the board to hang. I check that the tape is level and then the marks on the tape show me where to fit the nails, screws or hooks that I'm using. I hope that helps you too!
